I would love to cut some of these trees just so I could have a reference on how they cut and how my chains and power heads perform. It’s gets old always cutting hardwood here in WV and people get mad at me when I say “it takes way more skill to cut in the PNW than here in the east.”

I don't understand what the big deal is about setting the chain brake. I understand it's functionality for stopping the chain in the event of a kickback; but otherwise; who cares if there's one there or not? I cut a lot of 30"-40" oaks in my younger years; with 100+cc saws; and never used the brake. I don't even know if my saws even HAD a chain brake. Please tell me what the fuss is about the chain brake!

Multiple reasons she got herself hurt. I don't see any road signs advising of a flagger. The length of cones she had was way too short. Way to close from construction site. And last, only 2 cones before the flagger. As for me I would have walked off job site and reported the construction company or my company for not having the correct safety requirements to keep me and others safe.

05 and 06 were some rough years amd my thought go out to the guys on the mountain, their families, supervisors and first responders. It was rough but it got a little out of hand for fallers outside of B.C and the logging industry, I was 17&18 working in Alberta and they had bullbuckers from B.C scaring the crap out of guys talking about the fatalities in logging while we were doing siesmic line slashing and falling a snag here and there. We were held to ridiculous standards because of Worksafe B.C standards and a lot of guys got hurt or quit because of it, ever try to fall a snag in -35 wearing safety glasses or have to wear leather gloves and long sleeves in 45° heat? I've had to do it for years and it's not a walk in the park while the guys that "set the standards" are posting videos with no gloves, cutoff sleeves and a screen that only comes down if the wind shifts while they're cutting.

Safety Officers & Foreman's Principle's are as follows: 1) Why bother coz I ain't going in there. 2) Risk cannot ever be fully assessed until and unless some worker becomes a victim of an accident and dies. 3) Lets try and see what happens! 4) If a worker questions them about safety then the worker will be branded as a Wimp.

Learning not to grab a runaway object is very difficult. I put books on a conveyor belt. If I accidentally put it on upside down, it will fail to scan and show up in a reject chute later. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I try to chase the book and grab it but always fail. I'm supposed to press the stop button. It's 2 feet from my head. I can't learn to press the stop button. I've been trying for months. It's so natural to try to take back a mistake by physically reversing the action. Grabbing what you just dropped. But if you're dropping something into a moving machine, it never works the way you intended.

Sometimes when making a under cut a make a small wedge with two cuts then make the top cut as I’ve go my saw pinched and I live alone in the Canadian bush in a log cabin on Solar so I always try to be extra careful.. I know some will say make your bottom cut higher up but do you think this is excitable “to cut a wedge then make the top cut” ??? Thanks

My landlord is probably trying to cheap out on renovations. He has been telling me has someone to do inspection for asbestos, and tells me i need to move without a proper eviction notice. Half this house has illegal renovations that never had permits. Thank God he has to go through WorksafeBC. Hes trying to evict me from the house. He has been really aggressive and smashed the lock off the front door. I have not left the house in 8 days. As there is no lock on front door. I do not feel safe with my belongings sitting here. I'm losing money because i cant go to work. He has tried to call an illegal Eviction service for vancouver, to illegally evict me. Its really sad what some landlords in BC are doing to people. The living conditions to some landlords don't matter, He rented out a room to a elderly person that had a mental illness which lead him to hoard his garbage. It was stacked too the ceiling for 6 years. The elderly man eventually had a heart attack and had major breathing problems. After the 6th year the room flooded with sewage water. Which soaked all his stuff in that waste water. The man was sent to the hospital, The landlord was of Chinese decent. He went to the hospital to collect rent from him. The guy was a real ass hole. I paid him 8 years rent to live in a filth and toxic mold. The smell was like a of stinking garbage can that been sitting in the sun for 24 hours. I had to wear a respirator in the hallway. Thats how bad it was. I have endured 8 years of suffering, it just doesn't seem to get better with this guy. I hope God sees this
